My name is Melody Tomlinson. I awaken each day, fully present to
the blessings that surround me and grateful that I am able, through
this awesome profession to assist others in become awesome,
inspired, motivated, fully present, happy individuals. It is vital
for me to walk my talk and lead by example. I aspire to keep
learning, keep growing and keep developing consciously for the rest
of my life.
As a child I was brought up on the principles of positive
thinking, by a father who kept Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon
Hill, as a Bible, next to his bed and a mother who saw a need, only
for solutions, not problems. This upbringing, together with an
innate interest in people, laid the foundation to my career as a
Life Coach.
After qualifying from UCT with a B Soc Sc degree in Economics and
Industrial Psychology I embarked, at the young age of 23, on
starting my own business. 13 years of traveling, creating, and often
re-inventing the wheel, as a young, female, entrepreneur gave me
hands on experience, I today find invaluable when coaching other
business people.
I recall often describing, what I know now is a Life Coach, and
wishing I could create a career like this for myself. I never knew
that Life Coaching was in fact a profession I could qualify for. The
minute I became aware of this fact my life changed forever.
In one year I sold my business, studied and qualified as a Life
Coach (through CCI), built a house with my dream office and started
my coaching practice, in Nelspruit. I literally turned over a tree
of new leaves, hence the name NEW LEAF.
I had always believed my life was blessed, but never fully
realized the extent until the moment I stepped into my dream. I
believe completely that faith, focus and a coach can get you from
where you are to where you want to be, no matter where that is. It
inspires me to assist people daily in stepping into their dreams.
My core belief is:
Focus requires balance, and balance requires focus.
My vision is:
To turn the Lowveld from the Slow-veld into the Grow-veld by
inspiring conscious growth.
